Winter is Big Redfish season! The huge mature redfish are inside on the coastline and interior bays, making them closer and in shallow clear water! Nice hauls of sheepshead, puppy drum, and eating sized redfish are also caught in the wintertime.

In the Spring the big reds move out to the oil rigs but can still be targeted in concentration. As the temps rise the Sheapshead will spawn offshore and we will fish them alongside black drum and redfish. Also great marsh fishing for smaller eating reds in the spring. As far as size of fish and pounds caught spring is hard to beat.

In the summer on each full moon of the month the Speckled Trout Spawn!!! These three months show the huge numbers on specks. But also further out we have amazing trips on monster redfish, Sharks, and Jacks offshore around islands and distant rigs. BIG fish season in general with inclusion of sharks and jacks. We get into some serious food chain feeding frenzies around the islands.

As the cold fronts hit in the fall the fish come into the marsh. They are on the move from outside to in during September and with the first cold fronts in October start to flood into the marsh. Speckled trout, small eating size and mature redfish, sheepshead and black drum will come way up in bays and lagoons packing them by mid to late November. With flounder being added to menu around Thanksgiving! All species on your back door in fall: Speckled trout, redfish, black drum, sheepshead, and flounder all within 10 miles of the dock.
