Theeeeeeerrrrrreeeeee Baaaaaaaccccccckkkkkkk! :D
After a pretty much lousy trout season last year following a harsh winter we got a pleasant surprise in our waters the last week. Speckled trout! Hopefully this is a sign that our warm winter with NO FREEZE AT ALL kept our trout populate up with a lot for them to feed on. Bottom line is there are here this year!
This is a welcome treat as they are tasty addition to the ice chest and frezy feeders. We like to kick the day off with some action on specks and fill the grocery list and then go after a couple trophies on redfish to polish off a perfect day on the water. So for speckled trout lovers this is very good news, we can put you on some this year. I expect the action will only heat up as the tempertures rise and the brown shrimp blow into our area on the south winds.
So if you are looking for a fishing charter in the New Orleans area for redfish, sheepshead, black drum, and speckled trout give Salty Dog Charters a call. We offer day trips in and out of the French Quarter and down town New Orleans! Our captains will put you on fish catching action only 23 miles from downtown New Orleans! If you want the tour of a lifetime jump on a fishing charter with Salty Dog Charters, and our fishing guides will put your on a fun filled adventure down in South Louisiana!
